The Cayman Islands Conference of Seventh-day Adventists concluded its 6th Quadrennial Session under the theme “Transformed by the Word”. The session was held to receive reports from the officers, departmental directors, and the General Conference Auditing Services; and to elect new officers and departmental directors. The session culminated in the announcement of the new administration.
The newly appointed administration officers are President, Pastor Dr Ivor Harry, Executive Secretary, Pastor Carlon Nyack, and Chief Financial Officer, Pastor John E. Wesley. In addition to these appointments, a new position was created, whereby Pastor Andrew Campbell was named Vice President to provide special assistance to the President and the Executive Committee.
The new officers and executive committee members were consecrated at the installation service held on Monday, March 6, at Kings Church. In his address at the service, Dr Harry pledged faithful service to God and the people of the Cayman Islands Conference. He also shared that the leadership team intends to walk with God and only do as He bids.
The Quadrennial Session was attended by several dignitaries, including Dr Josney Rodriguez, Ministerial Director of the Inter-American Division; Pastor Peter Kerr, President of the Atlantic Caribbean Union; Dr Cheryl Rolle, Executive Secretary of the Atlantic Caribbean Union, and Roderick Sands, Chief Financial Officer of the Atlantic Caribbean Union. Overseas members from the Atlantic Caribbean Union Region and Dr Lincoln Edwards, the President of the Northern Caribbean University, were also present.
The Cayman Islands Conference of Seventh-day Adventists is excited to have a new leadership team in place and looks forward to its positive impact on the organization and the community.
