Ministry of Kindness Training

On Sunday, June 21, 2020, ninety-seven of the 136 ladies who initially registered, from the Cayman Islands Conference of Seventh-day Adventist, completed and joined in the virtual graduation from the online Ministry of Kindness Training held by the Inter-American Division for the English territories, namely the Atlantic Caribbean Union, Caribbean Union & Jamaican Union.

The Women Ministries Department of Inter-American Division offers many certification training in both Spanish and English, to equip the women of the church and the community. For three weeks, from May 24 to June 7, Dinorah Rivera, Women Ministries Director of the Inter-American Division, led out in the virtual training session. This training, endorsed by Heather Dawn-Small (General Conference Women’s Ministries Director) and Pastor Eli Henry (President of the Inter-American Division), was based on the Welfare Ministry Book, written by Ellen G. White. It reflected on Jesus’ time and the various methods He employed to reach the community.

Dinorah, as she commenced the certification training encouraged the participants to absorb the information and utilize their skills to ‘share God’s love and compassion to people’. The presenters comprised of women from the newest union in the Division, The Belize Union Mission. The seminars were well presented, and the participants were motivated to do more for Christ as they utilize their gifts for service.
