Seven new members were added to the church and a lasting message of Christian stewardship resonated through the Holy Convocation & Convention 2025, held in the Cayman Islands from February 1-8. The event, hosted by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, went beyond traditional offerings to explore stewardship as a comprehensive lifestyle of faith and responsibility.
Dr. Gandalal Samlalsingh, Stewardship Director of the Caribbean Union of Seventh-day Adventists, was the speaker for the event, delivering a series of presentations centered on the “7 P’s of Christian Stewardship.”
His topics ranged from the “Proliferation of Passionate Praises” to “Positioned for Prosperity and Peace,” drawing insights from biblical scriptures.
“So the problem is not with God sending the blessing; the challenge is with many of us receiving the blessing,” Dr. Samlalsingh emphasized. “We have to put ourselves in a position where God can trust us with his resources.”
“I can’t express how much I have been blessed this week.” Richard, a new member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in the Cayman Islands shared openly in the vote of thanks on the final day of Holy Convocation & Convention “If I had not been led by the Holy Spirit in July last year to the church and if I did not give myself to Jesus in October of last year, I would have done it today.”
The convention concluded with a moment of commitment, as all attending members filled out special cards pledging to be better stewards of their time, body, and resources.
The event seamlessly transitioned into a two-week “Christ for the Crisis” Evangelistic Series, led by Pastor Everett Brown, President of the Jamaica Union of Seventh-day Adventists.
