CXC Education Volunteer Programme

The CXC Education Volunteer Programme began in 2003 in an attempt to provide a second chance at an education, free of charge to members of the general public and at the same time to share our faith in Jesus Christ. The Motto is: Through Christ, I can.

Classes begin on September 13th. English Language and Mathematics are o-offered at the basic, intermediate and exam levels. Caribbean History, Principles of Business, Principles of Accounts, Social Studies and Human and Social Biology are offered at the intermediate and exam levels. Other subjects include: Literature, Introduction to Computers, EDPM, Literacy, Spanish, English for Speakers of other Languages (ESOL), Physics, Chemistry, Home Management and Food and Nutrition. Practical subjects include Dress Making and Cosmetology.

Volunteer teachers are welcome in all subject areas. Students are required to pay a non-refundable $100 at registration to cover the costs of running the programme for the year. There are no costs per subject and so students can do as many as they can realistically manage.
