Countdown to the End Evangelistic Series

When we look at the World today, we see natural disasters, financial struggles, social chaos, war, a rise of viruses, political division and many broken homes. All these are signs the Bible has given us as things to look for as we approach the end of the World. The “Countdown to the End – Cayman Islands” evangelistic series, with Dr Shion O’Connor, emphasises the prophecies of the Bible and examines signs globally which indicate that the end is here. The series began Wednesday, September 28, 2022, after being delayed by the passing of Tropical Storm Ian. However, after fervent prayer by the Adventist local community, God allowed a spiritual storm, in the form of an evangelistic series, to wind itself into the lives of the Cayman Islands Community.

While the series focuses mainly on the prophetic examination, there are also family life presentations that influence how persons view their family and marriage lives. In his appeal to the audience and baptism candidates on October 8, 2022, Evangelist Dr Shion O’Connor said, “I want you to understand the God you are coming accepting. No matter what your life situation or circumstances, God says, come as you are, and he will accept you.” Soon after, several persons travelled to Smith Cove beach to witness 49 persons who committed their lives to the Lord in baptism.

The series continues at the Lions Center on Sundays – Wednesdays, Fridays at 7:15 pm, and Saturdays at 10:00 am. However, if you cannot join physically, you can join virtually at countdowntotheend.com or on YouTube at CICMEDIAKY. The “Countdown to the End series” is a family-friendly event which all individuals can attend or watch online. Children, youth, and adults are welcome to participate.

The Evangelisti Series is organised by the Ebenezer, Kings, Savannah, Berea, Maranatha, Ephesus, East End and Creek Seventh-day Adventist Churches in the Cayman Islands. The pastors for these churches in their respective order are Dr Shion O’Connor (newly assigned Pastor to Ebenezer), Dr Ivor Harry, Pastor Kevin Danvers (Savannah and Maranatha), Pastors Vaughan Henry, Pastor Caple Thompson, Pastor Carlon Nyack, and Pastor Maurice Chambers. Along with the Pastors are Bible workers, musicians, support staff and Adventist Church members, who each staging give their support to the series.
