Cayman Adventist Relief Efforts for the Bahamas

The Cayman Islands Conference of Seventh-day Adventists thanks all persons and businesses who rallied to assist the Bahamas government and people following Hurricane Dorian.

Solid Rock Ministries Pastor Obed Babb and Solid Rock members; Adventist Development Relief Agency (ADRA) Acting Chairman, Pastor Maurice Chambers; ADRA Director, Elder Edris Ocho; the Adventist Community Services team; Royal Bank (Cayman) Ltd; and other Grand Cayman citizens and residences were integral in preparing, packing and shipping a 40-foot container to Freeport, Grand Bahama.

The container carried relief items such as non-perishable foods, baby food, toiletries, clothing, tarpaulins, small tents, first aid kits and flashlights, as requested from Bahamas authorities.

Since the devastation of Hurricane Dorian, countless people have been left without homes and basic items, and some are mourning the loss of loved ones. In addition to the container donation, the Adventist community continues to pray for the government and people of the Bahamas.
