117 Baptized in Reset Evangelistic Series

A total of 117 people were baptized, including 2 individuals baptized overseas while watching the Cayman Islands Seventh-day Adventist Conference’s “Reset” evangelistic series. This event, featuring guest speaker Pastor Donald Francis, took place from April 13 to May 11, 2024, at the Lions Centre in George Town, Grand Cayman. Throughout the series, there were Bible and family presentations that blessed the local community and overseas viewers.

During the series, Pastor Francis addressed several topics, including “The Inner Dynamics of Marriage,” “How to Find Your Soulmate,” and “Daddy Issues.” He emphasized the importance of healthy relationships, stating, “The brain always seeks love because it seeks a place of understanding and belonging. It’s important to note that your relationship is directly linked to the quality of your health. If you’re having a stressful relationship, you are going to be sick.” This message encouraged attendees to foster healthy relationships with partners, coworkers, family members, and friends.

One attendee shared, “The Reset Series was a truly impactful experience with powerful reminders that we require transformation, renewal, and reshaping in our walk with God. It provided gems that will stay with me for a long time, such as ‘God’s love language is obedience’ and ‘Our habits will become either the elevator to our divine destiny or the undertaker to our destruction.'” Another member appreciated the well-thought-out covenant, affirming faith in God’s transforming power and commitment to walking in His ways.

Although the series has concluded, the work continues as we are responsible for the 117 new brothers and sisters in Christ. Reflecting on Genesis 4:9, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” we strive to do the opposite of Cain’s actions, ensuring that we can account for each life we have led to Christ. When Jesus returns, we aim to hear, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23).

Finally, as Anais Nin said, “We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospect.” We have written another chapter with the “Reset” series. For those who missed it, the series is available for viewing on YouTube @CICMEDIAKY.
